A Diverse and Inclusive Society

Many people are ignorant and unintelligent when it comes to a distinct act known as diversity. It is a global act of accepting and involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds.

I believe that each and every one of us was put in this world for a reason and a purpose. Everyone has a talent and a well-defined capability in one way or another. In this world that we live in we can not effectively make it by ourselves. Social connections are crucial in our day to day lives. Differences make it harder for people to effectively connect and empathize with each other. Navigating differences can be tough whether it is in the classroom, workspace, or even our personal relationships and clearly people all over the world practice it everyday. It is a worthwhile act just like empathy and forgiveness.

It can be developed over a lifetime with intentionality, knowledge and practice. We should first learn to acknowledge people for who they are and respect their ethnicity. We must learn each others cultures and have distinct exposure to different ethnicities to understand each other well and the basis of different practices for avoidance of weird and inexplicable questioning.

Respecting each others beliefs and silently maintaining your comment is a peaceful way to simply get along and it promotes diversity. We can cooperate no matter which religion as long as work can effectively go on. Workplaces are diverse with people of different ethnicities but work must effectively go on with differences kept aside as long as the focus is based on the productivity and efficiency. When you look at schools you will tend to notice that they are diverse institutions as people have different beliefs and come from different countries, but the school must maintain its function which is instilling knowledge to each learner.

Avoid judging people for who they are and accept them as they are. We are all unique in our own ways. We have certain things which we love doing. We have physical differences. We are not mentally identical. If you want to make someone feel discouraged by making a diminishing comment on their capabilities and rights first put in mind and imagine yourself in such a situation and how you could react. If we can silently reserve our dissatisfying and discouraging comments then we peacefully demonstrate diversity.

First you need to know how to effectively communicate with people. Try being social and speak up. Do not be afraid to say something based on your ideas. This is what you suggest or feel would be the best way to go about something. Avoid self-doubt. Self-doubt will make you nervous and you will lack courage and forget about saying what you had wanted to speak about. Self-doubt masks your confidence.

Be creative and come up with resourceful techniques. Do not just think of ordinary things but also dig deeper. Look at advanced ways of going about things. Using common sense is very crucial if you want to feel inclusive.

If you desire to feel inclusive, you simply include others in your group. Instead of whining and complaining about why you are barely included it would be a better thing to share what you have. People love people who eagerly share what they have. Have a mind of someone who actually wants to participate.

You must understand that everyone is human and everyone is imperfect. Therefore there will always be room to be judged, taken for granted, making conclusions, and having negative thoughts. If you want to feel inclusive do not allow these obstacles to limit you.

To be diverse show tolerance. To be inclusive be resourceful and demonstrate productivity.
