In this article, we shall explore what loving our neighbors is, the effects and how we should love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

Verse;

Leviticus 19:18

"Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but you love your neighbor as you love yourself. "

Does the verse speak volumes?

The verse is quite loud and clear. It is a command and not a request. Regardless of our opinions and thoughts. Whatever the bible commands is for our benefit so that we have no price to pay for disobedience.

Obedience goes a long way in our walk with God. It keeps us close to him so we can have a good walk with him. We should keep His word and stay true to Him in the back of our minds.

Praying for our enemies makes us less prideful.

What makes it hard to obey the verse?

Two things make it hard. Pride and dislike toward someone contribute heavily. Pride is an everlasting personality disorder that makes someone do crazy things. It usually looks dangerous to us but not to those who get hurt.

Can the things that make it difficult to obey the verse be understood?

Surprisingly, without judgement and criticism, they can, especially the one of dislike toward each other. It is normal because we are not the same in this life. We disagree with each other.

How people can avoid them

First, people should learn to acknowledge that we are not the same.

Also, we should agree that life is a journey, not a race.

God loves us with our imperfections and accepts us the way we are.

Having that in mind, we should be able to demonstrate the same.

As always, read, like and share your thoughts regarding the topic.
